My experiences as an autistic student: Ruhi’s Story

The School for Cross-faculty Studies at the University of Warwick is proud to be part of a diverse and inclusive community of staff and students. Our community includes many neurodivergent individuals across the spectrum, whose different perspectives, strengths, and ways of thinking enrich our learning environment and strengthen the collaborative work we do. To mark Neurodiversity Celebration Week, we spoke to one of these neurodivergent community members Ruhi - a first year GSD and Life Sciences student - about living with autism, and how the Higher Education sector still has a way to go to support neurodivergent individuals.

GSD PhD student presents paper on human trafficking at Criminology Conference

A PhD candidate within our GSD doctoral programme recently presented a paper discussing the ethical and methodological challenges of her research at the Annual Western Society of Criminology Conference, which was held from 5–7 February 2026 in Denver, Colorado.

The School for Cross-faculty Studies welcomed Warwick staff and students to a vibrant and well-attended Work Placement Fair 2025 on campus this week.

Organised by Bodrun Nahar – the School’s Employability and Work Placements Manager - the fair showcased the breadth of placement pathways available to students across Global Sustainable Development (GSD), Design Studies, and Liberal Arts.

Collective SCFS consortium secures new partnership with Coventry City Council to transform local green and blue spaces

Select individuals of our academic team, led by IGSD, will collaborate with Coventry City Council on a new initiative to revitalise the city’s green and blue spaces, following the success of a proposal that secured almost £100K for Warwick as part of a project worth nearly £1M in total funding for the next three years.

The Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG) Summer School on Brazilian Studies aims at providing students from around the globe with a solid background in Brazil and Brazilian studies, shedding light on crucial aspects of South America’s giant country and the region in itself. GSD student Kieran Hibbert attended the programme in 2025 - he shares his experiences in this blog.

GSD staff and students representing at the Warwick Education Conference
