Postgraduate Research Experience Survey - 20th April till 8th May 2026

The University of Warwick will shortly be launching its Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) and inviting postgraduate research students to take part. The survey will open on 20 April 2026 and will run until 8 May 2026.

PRES is the only national survey focused specifically on postgraduate research students’ experience. The results provide rich insight into our students’ experiences of postgraduate research programmes and allow us to make comparisons both internally and across the sector. This evidence is vital in helping us identify areas for improvement and make changes that better meet students’ needs in the future.

Summer Vacation Library hours

Important: Please note from Saturday 4th July to Sunday 4th October, we’re introducing temporary changes to the Main Library’s opening hours. Here’s the detail so you can plan your study time without any surprises.

Opening Hours

· Monday–Friday: 8:00am – midnight (Main Library)

· Overnight (weekdays): Study Lounge & Eating Place remain open

· Weekend closure: Open during the day but closed overnight (8:00pm–8:00am) on Saturday and Sunday.

Library Flexi-space

Did you know the Library offers extra study spaces during Term 3? Following the success of opening the Floor 2 Training Room as additional study space in Term 2, it will continue to be available throughout Term 3 (subject to existing bookings). We also set aside a number of additional rooms that can be opened depending on demand; these will be advertised via the Library study space tracker.

General Strike Exhibition

Find out more about the largest industrial dispute in British history with this wonderful exhibition commemorating the centenary of the General Strike in 1926. The physical exhibition is located in the Library and the MRC, and there is a terrific online resource, including a great interactive map where you can see the impact of the strike in specific areas. University House: Temporary Closure

University House is temporarily closing for important maintenance work. The last day you can use the Learning Grids in this space will be Friday, 19 December. Eatwise Test Kitchen will close at 2pm on 12 December. The building will be closed for approximately 12 months. There are many alternative study spaces on campus for you to use during this time, as well as various options for food and drink.
