How we store and use your information

The University of Warwick will collect and further process personal data that is provided for the purposes of ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of the University Community and wider public.

The potential lawful bases for processing this personal data are:

  • The University is under a legal obligation to ensure health and safety of employees and those affected by its undertaking
  • It is in the University’s legitimate interests (ensuring wellbeing and minimising risk to the public as well as the delivery and continuance of operations)
  • It is the public interest.

Personal data collected through the helpline may be shared with a small group of individuals within the University and potentially any external healthcare organisations that the University may be required to report to.

Personal data will not be retained for any longer than is deemed necessary.

The University of Warwick is the Data Controller in respect of this personal data. It is committed to protecting the rights of individuals in line with Data Protection Legislation.
