Shops and Services

boYou'll find everything you need on campus!

Based in the heart of campus is rootes grocery store – a convenience store which stocks a wide range of fresh fruit and vegetables, freshly baked artisan breads, an off licence and hot food as well as an extensive range of international foods, household items, stationery, magazines and newspapers. A Post Office is also located in store.

There is a pharmacy and nearby is STA Travel to help book that dream summer holiday to Australia or that affordable post-exam tour around Europe.

Inside the Students' Union Atrium, there are often market stalls selling plants, posters, CDs, DVDs and clothes, all at cut prices. We also hold regular food markets in the piazza, offering lots of tasty local produce, from burgers to brownies!

Banking

To assist you in your on-campus shopping, two major banks (Barclays and Santander) are close at hand to help you manage your student finances.

Bookshop

Across the road in the Arts Centre, the Bookshop stocks over 30,000 titles across a wide range of academic and non-academic subjects, including fiction and children’s books. The Bookshop also sells a wide range of high quality greeting cards, gifts and official University of Warwick merchandise. You can also order books online.

Off-campus shopping

A 10-minute walk from central campus takes you to a 24-hour Tesco, a sizeable Boots and Iceland, all in the Cannon Park Shopping Centre a few metres from the edge of campus. As well as this, Coventry's busy high-street is just a bus-ride away, as is Leamington Spa's popular shop-strewn Parade.

If you are in need of some serious retail therapy, Birmingham’s impressive shopping centre, the Bullring, is only 20 minutes by train from Coventry station. The campus is also easily accessible from London, with the fast Coventry-London Euston connection taking just an hour while a train from Leamington Spa will take you directly to London Marylebone in around an hour and a half.

Next on the tour is the Rootes Building.
