Coventry City of Culture 2021


As the nights draw in and Autumn turns to Winter, Warwick staff and students associated with the Food GRP are working alongside City of Culture, Coventry BID, Destination Coventry, journalist-blogger Ellen Manning and various partner organizations to highlight the vibrancy and diversity of the food scene in the region.

Feast Food Festival

From starters to mains, sides to what to drink, local restaurants will be sharing the background to their feast dishes from the perspective of hospitality, producers and academic research.


On 5th December join us to Feast featuring taster pots of vegan bean dishes from around the world, showcasing our locally grown haricot beans.

Ancient Feasts

A celebration of festive cooking in Greek and Roman antiquity at the Herbert Gallery in Coventry - Saturday 11th December 2021 11am-3pm

Feast Food Fair and Church Ale

On the 10th and 11th December at St John the Baptist Church, Berkswell - a two part event building on the medieval custom of church ales in collaboration with The Spirit of Berkswell project and the My-Parish network based in Warwick's History department
