Transform your street with Window Wanderland

Turn your neighbourhood into a beautiful walking trail to enjoy during a daily exercise walk by decorating and lighting up your windows. We're taking part with campus set to become a Window Wanderland alongside our neighbours in Canley, Cannon Park and Westwood Heath from 27 February until 5 March.

Coventry Creates - Launch of Digital Exhibition

A showcase of work by Coventry artists, funded by the city’s universities and produced during lockdown, will launch online next week (Monday 5 October).

The digital exhibition, Coventry Creates, will show the work of 18 local artists who worked in collaboration with researchers from Coventry University and the University of Warwick, as part of a commissioned project funded by the two institutions. City of Culture - Culture Conversations - Peace

In light of International Day of Peace this Monday 28th September, this month’s Culture Conversations will be on the topic of Peace. We’re holding it on Zoom this Tuesday 29th at 1-2pm. It will be led by Laura Nyahuye, a Coventry artist and designer, who has written a poem (available as YouTube video or written PDF) to help people consider this month’s provocations before they join the session.

Call for Interest - Queer Bodies of Colour Project

How do queer people of colour relate to the city of Coventry? This project, funded by the Coventry City of Culture Initiative, is an attempt to recuperate the history, politics and practices of a community that has existed as a subculture within a diverse and multicultural Coventry from the 1970s. Thinking creatively in a crisis!

The 'Urban Village' project was planning to work with members of the Roma community and a local film maker to produce an exhibition which explores their experiences and identity of working on an allotment in Coventry. As events unfolded it became increasingly evident that the project was no longer viable. They returned to the aims of the project to think about how they could still facilitate the co-creation of a short film with the Roma community so that it was still their voice, telling of their experiences whilst engaging in a creative media process.
