What We Do
Block 1 text

Unlike the Earlsdon and Ekta-Unity sessions, Cheylesmore does not operate on a drop in basis. The older learners will have signed up to attend a block of three sessions in advance. Volunteers must commit to a block of three sessions so we can match you up with the same learner each session. This gives both the volunteer and the learner a great opportunity to build up a relationship as you work together each week and we find that this allows you to get to know the learner's skill level and as such they tend to get more out of the sessions.

Time Commitment
block 5 text

The sessions will take place Wednesdays 1pm-4pm (which includes travel time).

Volunteers must sign up to one block (three sessions) at a time.

The dates of the second block in Term 2 are: 19th February, 26th February and 4th March. We will have a meeting on the TBC once the sessions have finished to go through the reimbursement forms and hours log.

Including travel, these sessions will take approximately three hours. All of the hours you spend volunteering can be recorded on your Volunteering Log.

Remember that if you complete 15+ hours of volunteering in a single academic year, you can apply for a WV Certificate and have it listed on your HEAR.
