Volunteers must be 18 or over. A DBS check will be carried out. You will need to provide two references spanning back 5 years.

They will provide you with a full induction and any other training relevant to your role.

Due to the nature of the work with children, young people and families they do ask all of our volunteers to attend a safeguarding course.

Volunteers also have access to online training courses via their online learning zone.

Skills Required: Skills vary for each role but generally you need:

  • the ability to listen and communicate effectively with children and young people
  • the ability to follow instructions and to use initiative
  • a satisfactory level of spoken and written English
  • experience of working in a team
  • to be open-minded, reliable and punctual
