Coventry UK City of Culture 2021 will run from May 2021 – May 2022
This is the city where movement began, from innovation in the transport industry to a history of activism. Our city has moved people for centuries. For a whole year, we will celebrate our city with events, music, dance, theatre, and large-scale spectacle.
As well as these big celebrations, our city will show its unexpected side, with more intimate experiences and ways to get involved across every ward of the city.
It is envisaged that over 5000 volunteers will be needed in delivering this once in a lifetime opportunity.

Coventry City of Culture Trust:
From May 2021, our reign as UK City of Culture 2021 begins. What an opportunity for visitors to experience the city we know and love.
Who better to welcome them than YOU!
Our painters, chefs and bakers. Our dancers, singers and skaters. Our brewers and do-ers. Our history buffs. Our music makers. Our mums and dads. Those of us with sky blue in our veins.
We want you to share your passion. Share your Cov. We believe everyone has something to give and something to gain.
We’re looking for 5,000 volunteers throughout the year, to spend as much or as little time as they can, to showcase our city.
Coventry only moves like it does thanks to the people who live here.
Volunteers will be rewarded with limited edition uniform, training, rewards from our partners and professional head-shots.
Imagine being able to say... "I was part of that".
University of Warwick City of Culture Programme:
Our public programme is aimed at working with diverse communities across Coventry and ensuring our research and teaching is able to contribute to Coventry’s culture, society, economy, and health and wellbeing.
