Compton Verney is a national art museum set in 120 acres of parkland, eight miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. They are a registered charity, with the aim of providing an inspiring and entertaining day out for visitors of all ages and backgrounds – whether they have come to see the art exhibitions, to take part in the wide-ranging activities or to enjoy the landscape.

Volunteering Opportunities

Many of their volunteer roles involve working with the public, so if you love talking to people and fancy giving them a hand, Compton Verney would love to have you on board.

Gallery Support – assisting the gallery staff and providing excellent visitor care

Gallery Activity Support – assisting with our new families initiative, Teeny Weeny Wednesdays

Grounds Warden – supporting the Grounds Team with a variety of tasks in our parkland

Membership Steward – meeting and greeting visitors, explaining ticket prices, and selling memberships

Marketing Support – assisting our Marketing Department with a variety of office-based tasks

Learning Administrator – assisting with the administration of our schools programme

Learning Technician – supporting the Learning Team in preparing for school sessions and children’s events

Schools Assistant – supporting the Learning Team in conducting activities during school visits

There is no public transport directly to Compton Verney, the organisation will pay travel expenses up to a maximum of £11.

One full day (from 10:30am - 4:30pm approx.) every other week with a minimum period of 1 month's commitment.

References and DBS check required (if working in one of the learning centres).

Skills Required: Skills vary for each role but generally you need to be friendly, a good communicator and an effective team player.
