Attention Message

We are a social enterprise which teaches chess to children aged six to twelve years of age. We aim to demonstrate how chess can provide children with skills that will empower them in and outside the classroom.

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteer coaches are recruited on a rolling basis to teach chess and supervise the club's members during sessions.

Travel expenses are not paid by the organisation.

Sessions are held every Saturday from 9:30am to 12:30pm. The period of commitment is flexible.

Requirements

Volunteers must be able to play chess up to post-beginners level (this will be assessed as part of training). Prior experience of playing chess competitively, coaching or working with children is not essential, as full training will be provided, but will be advantageous.

A DBS check will be required.
