Volunteer roles include:

• Welcoming people to the library service and guiding them to the services within the Library

• Demonstrate and assist the public in using Self-Service machines to issue and return Library items

• Assist the public in accessing information and undertaking online transactions

Travel expenses are reimbursed by the organisation.

Flexible volunteering hours available to suit you.

The time commitment required will vary depending on the library you are volunteering in. Opening hours can change dependent on the library and hours are flexible.

You will receive a thorough induction on the work of the Library, its staff, your volunteering role and the support and training you need to meet the responsibilities of the role.

You will be supported by library staff who will meet regularly with you to discuss your volunteering and development.
