Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre is a charity relieving hardship and distress for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. They help clients to access health care, housing, education, training and employment as well as providing befriending and other social activities. They provide impartial and confidential advice as well as giving practical help and support to asylum seekers and refugees living in Coventry.
Help asylum seekers, refugees and migrants access suitable support services.
Help at the men’s or women’s social support group run to support asylum seekers, refugee and migrants and reduce social isolation and build confidence through an informal English class and other creative activities.
They also need volunteers for the Coventry Welcomes Festival, which Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre organise to celebrate Refugee week. Volunteers are needed across Coventry to support in various roles before and during the festival, from the 1st May until 22nd June 2019. Volunteer Caseworkers are asked to volunteer for a minimum of 6 months due to the time it takes to train up volunteers.
