Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre is a charity relieving hardship and distress for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. They help clients to access health care, housing, education, training and employment as well as providing befriending and other social activities. They provide impartial and confidential advice as well as giving practical help and support to asylum seekers and refugees living in Coventry.
Volunteering Opportunities
Help asylum seekers, refugees and migrants access suitable support services through supporting our various projects or supporting our Advice team as a Caseworker.
Help at a variety of social support groups run to support asylum seekers, refugee and migrants. Groups are designed to help reduce social isolation and build confidence through an informal English class and other creative activities.
They also need volunteers for one off events throughout the year including the celebration of Refugee week and other roles may be available at any given time.

Time Commitment

Volunteer Caseworkers are asked to volunteer for a minimum of 6 months due to the time it takes to train up volunteers.

This organisation reimburses reasonable volunteer travel expenses.
Requirements
Some roles may require a DBS check.
