The Trust aim is to become the guardian of the city’s heritage in perpetuity – a local ‘National Trust’ and a strategic partner to enable regeneration of all of Coventry’s heritage. The Trust is a social enterprise and aims to become self-sufficient, generating revenue from restored historic buildings and innovative development.

Our portfolio consists of Charterhouse, London Road Cemetery, the Heritage Park (including the historic Loop Line), City gates, Drapers Hall, Priory Row, Whitefriars Monastery and Lady Herbert’s Garden.

Here at Historic Coventry Trust we have something for everyone to get involved with and make a difference. Currently our sites are under construction in preparation for opening next year, when our volunteering opportunities will significantly grow. Volunteering areas will include tour guiding, education and events, research, welcome and conservation alongside other nature roles. But now we have some covid-19 safe roles that will help you to reconnect with nature and try something new.

We are looking for tidy up and event volunteers to help us manage and host our upcoming events and look after our green spaces through litter picking and light gardening.

So if you’re someone who loves to learn new skills, meeting new people and giving back to the local community, come and discover the perfect role for you by helping us to preserve and celebrate Coventry’s history for future generations to learn and enjoy.
