Kairos Women Working Together (WWT) believes in the value and dignity of all women. They aim to support, empower, and give a voice to women at risk of or subject to sexual exploitation, including those caught up in sex work, and those aspiring to leave it. They work in Coventry by providing safe spaces, a listening ear and opportunities for change and growth.
1) Group Support Volunteer
· STEPS Group – supporting women over 18 who have either already exited, or are looking to exit street-based prostitution.
· Feeling Safe Group – supporting women aged 18-24 who have been, or are at risk of sexual exploitation and/or prostitution.
Volunteers for both groups will be needed on Tuesdays from 1:30-4:30pm on a fortnightly basis.
Volunteers will therefore be assigned to either group. Preference of group will be taken into consideration but it will mainly depend on availability and need of the service.
A commitment of 12 months is desirable.
Role includes: opportunities to plan/organise/co-ordinate/facilitate sessions, setting up before the session and tidying up after the session, providing drinks for the service users, be fully involved in the activities, give constant encouragement to the service users, engage in conversations with the women and signposting them to other services when necessary.
This role has a flexible work pattern as sessions will be held based on the availability of the groups at the organisations we will be delivering sessions for.
A commitment of one session per month will be required, preferably over a 12 month period.
Role includes: helping to plan sessions, setting up before the session and tidying up after the session, helping to deliver awareness raising sessions focusing on topics related to sexual exploitation, be fully involved in the activities, give constant encouragement to the young people and signposting them to other services when necessary.

Why get involved?
Volunteers are required to commit 2-4 hours fortnightly.
A 12 month commitment is preferred in order to provide consistency for the women they work with.

This organisation reimburses reasonable volunteer travel expenses.
Due to the nature of the work they can only take on female volunteers for the voluntary positions requiring contact with service users.
