Kidz Camp is a three day residential holiday for primary school children that takes place during the first week of the university Easter vacation. The holiday includes lots of fun and educational activities which help to improve the children’s social development, encourage independence and build self-esteem. Most of the children attending Kidz Camp would not otherwise have this opportunity and it is often the first time they've spent a night away from their families.
Kidz Camp is led by student volunteers, who are responsible for organising and managing every aspect of the holiday, with support from Warwick Volunteers and school staff.
Planning and preparation
Before the holiday takes place, volunteers will work as a team to fundraise for the project, create a programme of fun and educational activities and organise school sessions in term 2.
During the holiday
Volunteers will run sessions and activities. Transport, accommodation and food is provided.
Location and Travel
Planning and preparation meetings will take place on campus, or at Charter Primary School in Coventry which is walking distance from campus.
The residential holiday will be held at the Dunfield House and transport will be provided.
How to get involved
Sign-up is closed for the 2019-20 academic year!
Term 1 and 2
