Volunteers visit local secondary schools to provide workshops and mentoring sessions. It is an extremely rewarding experience that also provides you with the opportunity to meet new people. It is our firm belief that every individual has the ability to succeed but some need a little more encouragement and inspiration to unlock this ability.

Here are some reasons from ACS Volunteers:

"I decided to volunteer because I wanted to be a part of a team that was involved in impacting on the lives of the people around. The time spent working with the children was always fun and memorable. I was able to develop personally and gain fulfillment with the completion of each project"

Chinomso

I volunteered with project shine in 2013 because I had previous experience working with kids which I thoroughly enjoyed. Additionally all previous volunteers had something great to say about Shine and I supported the aim of the project, which is to encourage, inspire and help develop essential life skills in secondary school children. I had an amazing experience and the impact the project had on the children was clear. This led me to become the project leader in 2014 which was amazing as I was involved in every part of the project.”
