PEACE of Cake: Warwick STAR Fundraiser
In Week 8, Warwick STAR (in partnership with Enactus, The Gateway and UNICEF) held a bake sale to to raise funds for two causes: renovating the storage space in a night shelter at Coventry Peace House and contributing to support refugee children through ‘UNICEF's appeal for Syria’.

Warwick STAR Event: 'Volunteer Experiences in Europe'

This week we had up to twenty participants join us from Coventry, and five volunteers to help out. This session was held at the Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre.

STAR End of Term Meal (27/11/16)
On the 27th of November, STAR held an end of term meal with both volunteers and participants. It was a day filled with traiditonal food, dancing and games. One of our volunteers has written a blog about our event and you can read it by clicking above!
Warwick STAR Reaching Aleppo (1/12/16)
On the 1st of December, Warwick STAR organised a fundraising event which incorporated a screening of the documentary 'The White Helmets' followed by a discussion with invited panelists (Cllr Ram Lakha, an elected councillor from Coventry City Council; Maddy Robinson, Student Network Coordinator from STAR National; Hope Warsdale, Education Officer at Warwick University SU and Reem Doukmak, Warwick STAR president) and the audience.
