Volunteering in Term 1
Many volunteering projects start in Term 1 and don't need you to commit on the long term! The list below is a selection of projects managed by Warwick Volunteers with which you can start volunteering in Term 1. No DBS checks are required for these projects. You can check the project pages for more details about how to get involved.
Many external opportunities are also advertised in our newsletter which you can choose to receive when you sign up as a member of Warwick Volunteers.

Give it a Go!
Our One-Off programme allows you to take part in volunteering activities with no regular commitment such as canal clean ups, dog walking and painting projects. Help your local community, meet new friends and have fun.

Buddy Club
Volunteers spend time listening and talking to the residents of Willowbrook Care Home and take part in activities including singing, bingo and craft activities.
Crafting Happiness
Help patients experiencing long term hospital stay to create personalised greeting cards. Volunteers also create craft packs that can be distributed to patients for them to make in their own time and help alleviate boredom.

Tocil Wood
Tocil Wood, the bluebell wood on campus, enjoys a protected status as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and offers useful experience for anybody aiming to enter the environmental sector following graduation.

Cheylesmore Good Neighbours
Cheylesmore Good Neighbours support older people in the area who are lonely and provide an environment where they can chat with others in addition to enjoying talks and other activities. Volunteers provide one to one IT support for members.

Kenilwoth Phab
Kenilworth Phab is a weekly opportunity for disabled and non-disabled adults to meet socially to enjoy a variety of activities in an environment of equality and integration
