Where is Family Day?

At the University of Warwick. Summer 2019 Family Day is taking place at Warwick Arts Centre, the brand new Sports & Wellness Hub, Oculus, Students' Union, various Warwick Retail outlets and across various outdoor spaces on campus. How do I get there?

Warwick Arts Centre and Warwick Sport are situated on the University of Warwick campus in Coventry. The University of Warwick is served by the A45, A46, M40 and M42. On approaches to Coventry, just follow the signs to Warwick Arts Centre or the University of Warwick. For Sat Nav users, our postcode is CV4 7AL.

Regular bus services from Coventry, Leamington Spa, Kenilworth and Stratford-Upon-Avon stop at the bus interchange directly behind Warwick Arts Centre.

The University of Warwick provides secure storage points across campus if you cycle to campus. Cycle racks are located at the back of the bus interchange, or across the road from Warwick Arts Centre to the left of Rootes Grocery Store.

Where can I park?

On arrival to the University of Warwick, follow the highway signage for Central Campus. Multiple car parks are available on Central Campus, all close to Warwick Arts Centre. Parking is free on Central Campus all day at weekends. Multi story car parks on Central Campus do not have a lift.

Please note that parking charges apply at all times for the on-site car park at the Sports and Wellness Hub.

Are there baby changing facilities?

Yes. Baby changing facilities are located in both Warwick Arts Centre and at the Sports & Wellness Hub.

Is there hot water available for making formula?

Yes. You can get hot water from the various cafes on site.

Is Family Day accessible?

Yes. Warwick Arts Centre, Warwick Sport and various Retail outlets are accessible. You can find out more about access at the Arts Centre here and the Sports Centre by calling 024 765 23011.

What happens if it rains?

We have plenty of indoor space across the site and a programme of wet weather activity should it rain.

Where can I leave my buggy?

We aim to provide a space for you to leave your buggies. Ask a member of staff on arrival for more information.

Is there a crèche?

Sadly not. Parents and carers are required to supervise children at all times.

Is the programme suitable for my young children?

Yes. We have a broad programme of events and activities suitable for a range of ages. Visit the 'What's on' page for more information or ask at the Information Point on the day.

Do I need to book in advance?

There is no need to book to attend Family Day. Entrance is FREE so you can just turn up any time between 10am and 5pm. Some theatre shows are ticketed, as well as various events at the Sports and Wellness Hub so we recommend you book these in advance. Most activities are drop-in but some may have limited capacity at busy times. See the 'What's On' page or ask at the Info Point for up to date information on the day.

Who organises Family Day?

Family Day is organised by Warwick Arts Centre, Warwick Sport and Warwick Retail, in collaboration with Warwick Manufacturing Group (WMG) and Warwick SU.

Will I be photographed on Family Day?

We will have a photographer on site during the day taking pictures for publicity purposes. We will ask you to complete a permission form and will be able to give you access to the images if you would like them. If you do not want you or members of your family to be photographed, please tell our photographer or a member of the Family Day staff who will be accompanying him.
