Classics and Ancient History
Classics and Ancient History is as much about the present as the past. It’s a subject that continues to resonate today, helping us to understand modern challenges, 2,500 years after its protagonists built their lives in the ancient Mediterranean. If you share our curiosity as to why Classics remains so alive, we’re eager to meet you at Warwick.
The close-knit nature of Warwick’s Classics department is ideal for allowing our award-winning academics keep an eye on your observations, opinions and developing interests. You’ll work closely with academics while carving your own path through the varied disciplines we study - from literature and history, to philosophy and art.
At the event, you'll learn about our Classical Civilisation degree, our Ancient History and Classical Archaeology degree, our Classics degree and our Classics and English degree.
The best historians are unafraid of asking questions. They’re fearless, and won’t settle for the straightforward if there’s evidence to the contrary. They’re driven to uncover the truth. If you’re prepared to take your investigations further at Warwick, you’ll uncover those truths too.
You'll be taught by some of the leading international scholars with expertise spanning the British Isles, continental Europe, Africa, Asia, the Caribbean and Latin and North America. We’ll help you deepen your understanding of the past and encourage you to think critically about the world around you.
At the event, you'll learn about our single honours History degree and joint honours courses.
