Engineering Subject Information Evening

Are you curious about how things work? Are you looking for a more practical learning experience, where you can draw on maths and science to create, innovate and solve real-life problems?

Engineering is all about investigating how things work in order to design, make and do better. However even if you’re confident you want to study or pursue a career in engineering, deciding on the type of engineering you want to specialise in may not be straightforward.

At Warwick our flexible, innovative and interdisciplinary courses enable you to experience a range of different engineering disciplines before specialising in a chosen area. As well as being ranked 5th in the UK for General Engineering in the Guardian University League Table 2020, our engineering courses aim to give you the technical understanding, hands-on skills and connected thinking needed to solve challenges in our increasingly connected world. Plus, we work closely with industry experts to ensure you’re prepared for a whole range of potential careers after university.

In this session we’ll cover the basics of what engineering is, give an overview of some the different kinds of engineering and courses that are available, talk more about the different careers a degree in engineering can lead to, and give you a taste of what studying Engineering at Warwick might be like.
