English and Comparative Literary Studies
If you are passionate about reading and writing and would love to develop these interests, then an English course at Warwick may be perfect for you.
Our English degree leads the field in its commitment to both tradition and innovation in literatures from across the world; our English and Creative Writing course boasts an acclaimed list of writers; while our new English and History degree invites you to think about, question, and blur the line between history and literature.
The School of Modern Languages and Cultures
Our School of Modern Languages and Cultures will open your eyes to new and exciting dimensions of other cultures. As well as enabling you to master your chosen language(s), we’ll help you to understand in depth the history, politics and literature that have helped shape those languages and the places in which they are spoken throughout the world.
With four excellent academic departments - French, German, Italian and Hispanic Studies - and an outstanding Language Centre, you can tailor your studies to suit you.
You might want to take up a new language alongside one or two you’re already learning, or combine a language with other academic subjects. At the event, we'll explain more about the courses available.
