Health and Medical Science Subject Information Evening

Do you have a passion for health and science?

Are you interested in understanding complex problems in human health?

Do you want to advocate for change and help to improve health outcomes for individuals and populations?

If the answer is yes then the BSc Health and Medical Sciences could be for you. New for 2020, our course is designed to enable students to address current local and global problems in health through the integrated perspectives of Health sciences and Medical sciences to create interconnected multidisciplinary solutions.

The course will focus on health problems associated with; Non communicable diseases, Infectious disease, Physical health, Mental health, Nutrition and Civil strife and displacement.

We will teach you to understand the underpinning science behind current local and global health problems, analyse data and evidence to identify real-life solutions, and act as facilitators and analysts to make a positive changes for health in society. This session will give you a fascinating insight into what the course is all about and a taste of our approach to case based learning, where we will consider real world health problems that we can all relate to.
