Would you like to become an evaluator?
Would you like to consider registering as an Expert Evaluator in the Horizon 2020 initiative (follow this link)?
As the European Commission is launching the pilot of the European Innovation Council (EIC), they are looking to expand their pool of experts who evaluate projects to include (along with traditional ‘technical’ experts):
- entrepreneurs who have started up and scaled up innovative enterprises at European or global level
- investors (including those affiliated with banks, venture capitalists, business angels, crowd-funders etc)
- experts involved in the innovation ecosystem (business schools, universities, innovation hubs, accelerators, etc).
This is a paid role, for you as an individual or for Warwick, (currently €450 per day plus any expenses incurred) and is a fantastic opportunity to gain hugely useful insight into the proposal evaluation process. Further information can be found here.
The lists of some of the evaluators used before can be seen here: 2014 / 2015. You will see that they come from all around the world, not just European Member States. If you recognise any of these, and know them well enough, get in touch with them and ask them about their experiences.
You can find the standard briefing that is given to all Evaluators here.
