When were you at Warwick?
I did my BA from 2003-2006 at Warwick and studied Politics with International Affairs.
Do you have any fond memories?
My best times at Warwick were those related to Orientation Week where you got to meet new friends from around the world and help the new students settle in and One World Week where most of us again worked together to put on the world’s largest student run international event.
Where did you live while you were at Warwick?
I lived in Tocil my first year, followed by Leamington Spa in my second year before returning on campus in my third year and living in Claycroft.
Were you a member of any societies?
I was president of the international students in my second year and coordinator of One World Week in my final year.
What are you doing now? How did you end up in Norway?
I have just relocated to Oslo, Norway after living in Switzerland and working internationally since 2006 when I graduated from Warwick. I'm currently helping set up Leidar in Norway and we just opened up our offices in Tjuvholmen this fall. If you are in the area – do not hesitate to get in touch.
Why did you decide to become an alumni ambassador?
I helped set up Warwick alumni in Norway in 2006 before handing it over when I moved to Switzerland. Since then I've helped Warwick alumni Switzerland grow from 30 to around 300 members. It has been such a great experience that when I had the opportunity to continue here in Norway, I took the first chance to do so.
What kind of events will you run?
We will run the successful pre-departure dinners where current students, alumni and students about to begin at Warwick have the chance to meet for an evening. We will also organize Christmas and summer drinks – so on average three events per year.
Have you been back to Warwick recently?
I was at Warwick in January 2013 to speak to the students about One World Week and employment.
