The University joined with alumni in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 23rd February, 2013. Jeremy Burgess from the University's International Office was joined by Warwick alumni at the British Council education exhibition in Colombo which was held on the 23rd and 24th February, 2013.
Following the first exhibition, some alumni took the opportunity to relax with each other, to network, and exchange memories and stories at an exclusive evening meal held at 'The Gallery' restaurant in Paradise Road, Colombo.
Among the attending alumni were those who graduated some time ago (including Rossana Karun, who met her husband at the University), those who graduated a short time ago, such as Amila Jayamaha who now works for the United Nations, and those who graduated recently, such as Jennifer Abeygoonewardana.
Whether graduates of law, engineering, dentistry, the biosciences or other field of study, whether recent graduates or established alumni, they joined together in the spirit of friendship to rekindle their memories, make new friends, and explore ways in which to help promote the University in Sri Lanka. Indeed, whilst all guests ate heartily their appetite to support and engage with the University remains as insatiable as ever.
