Joe Cutler: a 50th anniversary commission

coullA very special event to mark both the University’s 50th anniversary and the 40th anniversary of the Coull Quartet’s residency at Warwick.

 Wednesday 29th April, 7.15pm

Warwick Arts Centre

Join us for refreshments and an intimate performance preview of Joe Cutler’s new 50th Anniversary Quartet, commissioned by the University for the Coull Quartet. The programme will also include a selection of the Quartet’s favourite music, including Beethoven’s rarely heard ‘Elegische Gesang’, with Paul McGrath and the University Chamber Choir.

You will be able to hear first-hand from Joe Cutler, as he discusses the inspiration that lies behind his new work and how he has addressed the central question of his residency at Warwick last year: “What is a University?”
