Distinguished Lecture Series: The Sciences of the Archives

DastonIn the era of Big Data and the Digital Humanities, the sciences and the humanities are once again in the grip archival visions. Professor Lorraine Daston, Director of the Max Planck Institute Berlin and Visiting Professor, Committee on Social Thought, University of Chicago; will be presenting The Sciences of the Archives: Big Science, Big Humanities, and the Pathos of Positivism, on central campus on Monday 6th March at 6pm (please note that the venue will be confirmed to those who have booked nearer the time of the event).
