We are pleased to invite all our Singaporean alumni to a reception at Eden Hall on Wednesday 18th March, 6.30-8.30pm, hosted by British High Commissioner Antony Phillipson and University of Warwick Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Sir Nigel Thrift.
The Trustees of the Friends of the University of Warwick in Singapore will use the occasion to formally launch a scholarship programme for undergraduate Singaporeans at this reception.
In tribute to Singapore’s 50th anniversary of independence and to the University’s 50th anniversary, The Friends of the University of Warwick in Singapore have created a new undergraduate scholarship which will enable academically gifted yet financially disadvantaged youth, holding Singapore citizenship or Permanent Residency, to study at the University of Warwick.
What better opportunity could there be to get together and celebrate with friends and fellow graduates? We do hope that you will be able to join us at this very special event in Warwick’s 50th anniversary year, as we continue to celebrate the ongoing relationship with Singapore. There will also be an opportunity to hear about Warwick’s ground-breaking research in cryogenics from Dr Matt Gibson.
Places at the reception are strictly limited and cost $50. Book your place here.
