Singapore Alumni Event

Tuesday 27 November 2018

09:00 - 13:00
British High Commissioner's Residence, Eden Hall, 28 Nassim Road, Singapore 258403

For the past few years, the University has hosted the Warwick-ASEAN conference. This student-led conference has brought debate and discussions about ASEAN to a UK audience. Continuously attracting renowned speakers, the success of this event and suggestions from our alumni have inspired the University to launch a UK-ASEAN event in region. The University is holding an alumni seminar and networking session entitled “Britain after Brexit: Breaking with Europe and the Prospects for ASEAN”.

With speakers from the Departments of Economics, the School of Law and Warwick Business School, the seminar brings together the academic expertise of the University combined with local insight to examine the latest thinking about the implications of Brexit for countries in ASEAN. As the negotiations are progressing, speakers will explore the likely economic and political impacts of Brexit, the opportunities and threats for businesses in the region and the implications for the UK’s long standing relationship with ASEAN in general and Malaysia and Singapore in particular.

Places are limited so if you would like to attend please book below. The Southeast Asia team will be in touch with you via email to confirm your registration, together with information on security clearance for the event.
