Warwick Arts Centre’s Boys Dancing project played to a full theatre here on March 17th. This led to a report on the BBC regional news. This is the latest manifestation of a now regionwide initiative to get at least 1,000 teenage boys engaged with contemporary dance as part of the People Dancing strand of the regional Cultural Olympiad.
These young participants are growing in self confidence, not only in dance but socially and intellectually and note how involvement in this dance project is important in their lives.
The project is currently supported financially by the Legacy Trust and will be the subject of future fundraising campaigns to secure it’s future.
