If you think you might be the best UK graduate in China you should enter the Alumnus of the Year Award, a British Council sponsored category in the British Business Awards 2010. Entering the British Business Awards is a great opportunity to gain recognition and acknowledgement of your achievements; it is your chance to really stand out from the crowd. The awards also raise the profile of what you are doing both in China and on an international stage.
The British Business Awards are an awards programme organised by the British Chambers of Commerce in China to recognise and promote the excellence in innovation, enterprise and endeavour happening in the British business community in China. Established in 2008, the 2010 awards are being run by the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai as part of the UK’s events programme at The World Expo 2010.
This is the third time that British Council China has sponsored the Alumnus of the Year Award, which is open to all Chinese alumni from British higher education institutions, who hold an undergraduate or postgraduate degree from the UK and who can demonstrate the positive influence that British education and culture has had on their chosen occupation. Judges will look for evidence of individualism, knowledge and skill, as well as enthusiasm, confidence and independence. They will also look for evidence of commitment to strengthening and building partnerships between China and the UK.
Applicants can register for an entry form online on the awards website
The closing date for entries is 4 June 2010.
