Warwick alumni were among a group of UK university graduates who attended a recent reception at the British Consulate in New York City. The second annual alumni reception was attended by a diverse mix of graduates. Along the guests were many local alumni leaders and Prince Edward.
The British Consulate-General launched the Alumni Outreach Project in 2009 with the aim of building a network of alumni in the region. In total, alumni from 35 different UK universities were represented at the Consul-General's residence. Guests included UK nationals now working in the US as well as Americans and other foreign nationals who had previously studied in the UK.
In order to support the alumni project, the British Consulate in New York has established a 'LinkedIn' social networking group which will allow alumni to connect with one another and hear about upcoming news and events. You can find out more from David Hill, our alumni ambassador in New York.
