VC represents Warwick in the US in October

Nigel Thrift

The Vice-Chancellor of Warwick, Professor Nigel Thrift, was in the US in October to represent the University at a number of high-level meetings which covered topical issues for higher education globally.

Together with the heads of over twenty US and UK universities and other top higher education leaders, he took part in the first in a series of senior policy dialogues led by the British Council. The aim of the meeting was to strengthen transatlantic higher education links, engage US and UK businesses and develop trilateral higher education collaborations, for example with India and China.

He followed this by meeting with colleagues from the US, Australia, China and Germany at the American Council on Education's Blue Ribbon Panel on Global Engagement.
