Monday 21st October 4.00pm
Friends and supporters of the University are invited to attend the official opening of the Learning Grid Rootes.
The opening will take place on Monday 21st October 4.00pm in Rootes and we are delighted that Roly Keating, Chief Executive of the British Library, will officially open the space.
The Rootes Learning Grid is an innovative and flexible space supporting different types of learning. It is the fourth such space opened by the University, with others in University House, the Medical School and in Leamington Spa. The spaces are staffed by Learning Grid Advisers and offer collaborative and individual study, peer to peer support, multimedia resources and bookable group study rooms. The new Learning Grid is housed on the ground floor of the Rootes building, which is linked with the Students’ Union, and offers students an open plan space with areas for both collaborative working and quiet study.
The opening ceremony will be followed by a drinks reception after which Roly will deliver the next lecture in the University’s Distinguished Lecture Series. You are of course also very welcome to attend the lecture.
