Second annual David VandeLinde lecture

The second David VandeLinde Lecture was delivered at New York University on 24 October by the Chancellor of the University of Warwick, Sir Richard Lambert, and was entitled “Ripping across the Atlantic: how the Eurozone crisis will affect the US”.

An audience of over 120 people included alumni from Warwick and Russell Group universities, students and academic staff of NYU. Sir Richard not only discussed the political and financial reasons for the crisis and the implications to the US of a potential dismantling of the Eurozone, but also how considered support from the US, and to a certain extent from the UK, would greatly increase the chances of its survival.

This lecture series was established in 2011 to honour Professor David VandeLinde, who served with distinction as the fourth Vice Chancellor of the University of Warwick.
