The Zeeman family have laid a memorial stone for Sir Christopher Zeeman, Founding Professor of Mathematics at Warwick, outside the Maths Houses on the Gibbet Hill campus.
Sir Christopher was a hugely charismatic character: his enthusiasm, intellectual excitement and breadth of interests were combined with an old fashioned charm and the ability to make people feel the centre of his attention. The memorial stone is an acknowledgement of his legacy at Warwick.
|Sir Christopher holds a special place in the memories of many of our students, alumni and staff members, who have shared their stories as a tribute to his life. You can read his In Memoriam piece here.|
