Sub-Warden, University Residences, University of Warwick. In charge of a team of Residential Tutors and responsible for the welfare, pastoral care, and discipline of 3rd and 4th year undergraduate students. 2005-2006

Assistant Examiner for A Level English Literature, OCR examining board. Marking paper 2713/01, the Comparative and Contextual synoptic paper. This involves marking around 200 A-level scripts on a wide range of texts and unseen critical appreciation paper and attending marking standardisation meetings. 2004-2006 

Postgraduate tutor to Second Year Undergraduates, teaching and lecturing on EN228: Seventeenth Century Literature and Culture within the English Department, University of Warwick. Responsibilities include formulating lesson plans and discussion questions, marking essays and exams, contributing essay and exam questions, writing student progress reports, invigilation, and office hour consultations with students. Provided lectures on: The Earl of Rochester, John Wilmot and on Aphra Behn's Oroonoko. 2005-2006

Organised and ran a workshop for MA students on Analysing Digitised Renaissance Texts for the Centre for the Study of the Renaissance, University of Warwick. 2005

General Administrator for the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Education and Skills Sector. Responsibilities included: organising conferences, handling general administration, and daily running of the sectoral group. 2005

Occasional work within the Communications Office, University of Warwick. Responsibilites ranged from general administration to creating, editing, and formatting the online version of the University Calendar. 2003-2004  

English Specialist Interviewer for mock Oxbridge interviews on behalf of Oxbridge Applications for a series of weekends providing intense interview preparation for Oxbridge applicants. 2002-2003 

 

ADDITIONAL EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING

Media Training. Attended an intense workshop for professionals to develop skills for use in interviews by the media, particularly television. 2006

Completed doctoral research training course Resources and Techniques for the Study of Renaissance and Early Modern Culture at the Warburg Institute, University of London. 2005
