This is a special, Italian themed seminar funded by the Italian department.
The session’s papers are:
Gabriele Scalessa (Italian): 'Una collezione ambulante di tutti i mali possibili': examples of female hysteria in nineteenth-century Italian narrative.
Giacomo Mannironi (Italian): Selling stories: publishers, authors, readers and the market of novels in eighteenth-century Venice.
Chair: Andrea Selleri.
Pre-session drinks and chat start at 4.45, the papers begin at 5.00, and will be followed by questions and discussion.
