Edna Ferber's Hollywood Wins PROSE Award
The Association of American Publishers' PROSE Awards annually recognize the very best in professional and scholarly publishing by bringing attention to distinguished books, journals, and electronic content. The PROSE awards, established in 1976, are judged by peer publishers, librarians, and medical professionals. Smyth's second monograph, Edna Ferber's Hollywood (2009, University of Texas Press), won the 2009 PROSE Award for Media and Cultural Studies.
