Please select the required modules for your course as follows:

Q800 Classics

120 CATS of which 30-60 CATS are required optional core modules in Ancient Languages.

Must take Latin AND/OR Greek (depending on entry level) all year at appropriate level. If you have done A-level Greek and/or Latin then you have to take Greek or Latin Literary Texts and the other language at the appropriate level. If you have no Ancient Languages you will start with levels 1 and 2 for one language and do the other language in year 2. In addition you need to select 2 other modules from Term 1 and 2 modules from Term 2:

Term 1: Roman Culture and Society (CX110-15), Greek Culture and Society (CX109-15), Ancient Thought (CX112-15), Introduction to Greek & Roman History (CX102-30) or the 15- CAT variant Introduction to Greek History (CX116-15)
Term 2: Encounters with Greek Texts (CX113-15), Encounters with Latin Texts (CX114-15), Encounters with Material Culture (CX111-15), Introduction to Greek & Roman History (CX102-30) or the 15- CAT variant Introduction to Roman History (CX117-15)

Q801 Classics (Ancient Greek) with Study in Europe OR Q802 Classics (Latin) with Study in Europe

120 CATS, of which 60 CATS are required modules: 30 CATS in an ancient language, 30 CATS in a modern language.

Must take Latin Literary Texts /Latin 1 and 2 or Greek Literary Texts/Greek 1 and 2 and a modern European language (Italian/German) and a choice of 4 other modules (equally split between Terms 1 and 2) from below:

Term 1: Roman Culture and Society (CX110-15), Greek Culture and Society (CX109-15), Ancient Thought (CX112-15), Introduction to Greek & Roman History (CX102-30) or the 15- CAT variant Introduction to Greek History (CX116-15)
Term 2: Encounters with Greek Texts (CX113-15), Encounters with Latin Texts (CX114-15), Encounters with Material Culture (CX111-15), Introduction to Greek & Roman History (CX102-30) or the 15- CAT variant Introduction to Roman History (CX117-15)

Q80P Classics (part-time):

Take the same modules as Q800 Classics, but spread over two years.
