Politics and Poetics in Classical Literature

CX266-30/CX366-30

The module will consider how we might think about the politics of literary production in the ancient world – not just in terms of content, but also in terms of form. How do texts do political work in the world?

Sources may be studied either through translation or the original texts.

This module is available in 2016/17

Module Convenors: Dr. Victoria Rimell, Dr. David Fearn
