I am an early career researcher and tutor in the department of English and Comparative Literary Studies at Warwick. I study the history of midwifery, female sexuality and female health in the eighteenth century, and the impact it continues to have today. I am tutor and convenor of The Romantic Period Novel and tutor of Romantic and Victorian Poetry, Academic Writing and Communicating Science.
I am a member of the New Approaches to European Women's Writing (NEWW) network and the WomenWriters database (COST Action IS0901: Women Writers in History).
I finished my PhD in September 2011, under the direction of Prof Jacqueline Labbe, and have an MA in Pan-Romanticisms at the University of Warwick (2008) and a BA in English and Classical Literature at the University of Leeds (2007).
