A typical week in the life of a student in the Dept.

Huwen Edwards – 1st Year Film Studies

Whilst I thought the change from A-levels to University level work would be challenging, the lecturers were welcoming and helpful from the very first day, making sure that every student understood what was being taught and making sure those who were still unsure were encouraged to ask for further help. The film studies-only modules have built upon the topics that have been covered in the shared modules, enhancing my understanding even further (though still remaining interesting as individual modules). Seminars are interesting and often enlightening after hearing other opinions from fellow students. The regular flow of essays means that you can see how your ability to tackle and argue with or against complex theoretical concepts has improved over the year.
