You are advised to migrate to the hotspot-secure service in order to benefit from the enhanced security provided. Hotspot-secure also provides the ability to only log in once, removing this web-authentication process.

Trouble connecting to the hotspot-secure service? Please try:


  • Visiting the IT Services Help Desk on the 1st Floor of the Library between 9:30 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.

Or alternatively,

  • Raise a call with the ITS Help Desk by phoning (024765) 73737 between 8:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.

General advice:

  • If you are experiencing issues when logging in to hotspot-secure then you may need to reset your password in order to sync across the ITS systems. To reset your password please click here.
  • If you are using Windows XP you will need to upgrade to Service Pack 3 in order to use WPA2 Enterprise.
