Location: Cave Hill, Barbados
Language of Instruction: English
- [I got] well acquainted with the leading academics of a topic and their pieces of work.
- The confidence to settle in a new country on my own . . . has inspired me to purse an internship abroad after university.
- [I was surprised at] how expensive Barbados is. Being British and having such a high currency, people make you feel like everything abroad is automatically more affordable. it was interesting comparing and realising that the British market is not as expensive as it appears.
- People often try to use . . . societies in the West as the standard for everything, or to indicate some sort of hierarchy, which I find very ignorant. What may work and be necessary in a Western society does not mean it would be for elsewhere. Every society has it positives and negatives, but there is no strict totem pole. For those who did a year abroad and previously thought this way; this should have changed by now.
Please note that not all institutions are available each year, and places will be allocated on a competitive basis. Partnerships may be added or withdrawn at any time, and are always subject to availability. The institutions available each year will be posted in the preceding Autumn Term.
