Just to follow up on a point raised in the seminar about whether accusations of lyncanthropy could be motivated by real wolf attacks, there is a strong correlation between accusations of lyncanthropy and those countries where wolves were more widespread, e.g. the Scnadinavian and Eastern-European countries. Hence, why it was much less prevalent in countries like England.
