2021 - 2022 History UG Deadlines

The dates and times by which you should submit your work for assessment are given on Tabula. The information below will help you in mapping out when your deadlines are due. It is important to plan ahead to allow you to submit all work by the deadline. For further information about your assessments please read the Assessment pages in the handbook.

 

Seminar Contribution Deadlines

Seminar Contribution/Oral Participation is assessed in all three years of study, and deadlines are as follows:

  • 15 CATS MODULES = 12pm noon, Friday week 10 of their respective teaching term
  • 30 CATS MODULES = 12pm noon, Friday week 3 of term 3

First year modules fall into three categories of types of assessment.

HI153-30 Making of the Modern World

  • 1 x 1500 word essay (20%)
  • 1 x collaborative learning project (20%)
  • 1 x representing history podcast (40%)
  • 1 x 7-day take home exam (20%)

HI113-30 Europe in the Making 1450-1800

  • 1 x 1,000 word Historiographical Review (20%)

  • 1 x 2,000 word Essay (30%)

  • 1 x 3,000 word Research Project (40%)

  • Participation/Engagement (10%)

First Year Options

  • 1 x 1000 word oral presentation (20%)
  • 1 x 2000 word essay or equivalent (30%)
  • 1 x 3000 word essay (50%)
