Second Year Undergraduate History and CAS Modules 2018/19

Please find listed below the second year (intermediate level) undergraduate History and CAS modules available in 2018/19. Please note that each module has its own website with details such as the timetable (once known), the lecture and seminar topics, the bibliography, and the assessment methods.

All History single-honours students are required to study at least one Early Modern History option in their second year of study, in addition to the compulsory module of 'HI203 The European World, 1500-1750'. All History joint-honours students are also required to study at least one Early Modern History option in their second year of study. In either case the modules that are designated as 'Early Modern History' and 'both Modern and Early Modern History' satisfy that requirement. CAS students do not have a requirement for an Early Modern History module.

The list of modules for each following year will usually be made available in the early weeks of each summer term, but please note that the selection of modules may vary from year to year and so no module can be guaranteed to be available.

Key: MH = Modern History; EM = Early Modern History; ME = both Modern and Early Modern History
